Re: More fuel issues, i guess?

There are many on this forum far more knowledgeable than me but sometimes an ignoramus can come up with something useful... I had strange problems with my LandRover Series that had a points ignition system. Turned out to be the springs on the weights controlling advance. Now the symptoms were not id...

Re: Fuel inlet fitting for the carburetor

I guess you have checked Enzed who may be able to help or put you onto the right people? Not sure if Pirtek are in NZ but they were tremendously helpful on a similar problem recently.

Re: Headlights??

I bought LED headlights for my Defender on eBay for much less than that and they have been fine. The old lights were the source of my H4 lights for the MUTT.

Re: Headlights??

I needed some recently and found that a number of suppliers had correct sealed beams gathering dust in their store rooms. Of course that is no use to you as I am in Australia, but given that this is in a town of some 160,000 people I would imagine there would be plenty in the US. After dropping a co...

Re: m151 proerty diposal

Spot on. My wife rolled my Jeep Wrangler TJ doing 25kph when she clipped the "safety feature" in the middle of the road, designed to slow traffic by making them drive around it instead of going in a straight line! They didn't ban the Wranglers but I have banned my wife from driving my MUTT :)

Re: m151 proerty diposal

The big concern was the high risk of roll over when used on sealed roads, a risk identified by use in service. It would be interesting to know how many of the M151s in private hands have suffered roll overs? Maybe the risk is as great when owned by enthusiasts but it occurs much less frequently beca...

If you missed out last auction and have a spare $30,000 in your pocket - https://www.govplanet.com/jsp/s/auction.ips?msg=38212%7C38234&c=4626&mf=1&src=insideemail-govplanet-032519&utm_campaign=GP-FA-032519&utm_source=hs_email&utm_medium=email&utm_content=71054838&_hsenc=p2ANqtz--EQDWKqh1CuN3BNEyolzl...

Fuel Filter THread

I am having some problems (again) which seem to be caused by crud getting into the carbie from the fuel line. I intend replacing the metal cased filter that screws into the carbie with a connection for a rubber fuel line and then running a common in line filter. I need to fit a male thread to tag to...

Re: Military Vehicle coming up for sale

Well, the sale is over. They brought the following prices - $35,100, $36,500, $36,400, $35,200 and $37,700! Pretty expensive for a paddock basher but probably worth it as a unique military collectable - assuming they do not now flood the market with many more.

Re: Early Brake Lines

How did you do a double flair with that kit? I thought you needed a special flaring tool to do that?
