Re: Looking for lifting hub centers for a M151
Those unthreaded wheel spindles could be rarities. The first batches of straight M151 models came with unthreaded spindles and push-fit hub caps. The Mil issued an MWO at the end of 1961 to remove the unthreaded spindles and replace with the ones we all know....threaded ones. The unthreaded hubs wer...

Greetings and a Happy New Year Pat. I've also got a Parkhurst M416A1, it's number 55. They are excellent trailers.... just a little bit heavy at the front end !

Re: heater hoses connection to engine
This question came up at the War and Peace show in 2016. I posted this on the G503 Board in 2017 after taking advice from Big George. It certainly cured my lukewarm heater. Ken :D Dear G-503ers, As winter approaches, it's time to start thinking about one or two checks on that hot-water heater in you...

Re: US Air Force M817A1
I know for a fact that the USAF used the M718....I supplied a captain at Mildenhall AFB with a TM-20 and -20P plus a Zenith carb for the M718 they had been hiding in one of the storage facilities. It didn't have most of the ambulance kit on it when I saw it. Eventually it was turned over to the loca...

Re: Transmission oil filling
Rick - wasn't there some talk on here about filling the trans about 1" above the side fill plug? The theory was that it lubricates one of the rear bearings better? Guy Guy... it was from Jeff at Frontline. Here's what he advised:- http://www.g838.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=7331&p=61326&hilit=Frontline...

Re: Coil interchangeability?
I spent the morning rummaging through the garage with some success. I found my old 'ballast' coil AND the resistor. The details are on a paper tab glued to the body and it says... USE EXTERNAL RESISTOR UNDER COIL. It was manufactured by Prestolite Division - Eltra Corporation - Toledo, Ohio. Part Nu...
