Re: M762 Question

The reason an M416 is rated at 1/4 ton is because that is how much it is/was supposed to float with. An M762, which is the exact same thing minus the box (or tub, or whatever you want to call it) is rated at 1/2 ton. I have two parked outside, both original, and admittedly in my advanced years, I co...

Re: Gamma Goat

As a fellow Goat owner, and having been through many of the trials and tribulations you are going through, I am impressed! Do you happen to have the 4-can ammo rack for the passenger side rear (middle?) fender? If you are going to have the MG, you should probably have the ammo can rack as well. And,...

Re: Gamma Goat

Hi guys--it's been a few years or so since I posted. To refresh anyone/everyone's memory, I own an M151A2, a handful of M416's, flat bed equivalent to the M416 (I forget the M number), an M54A2CWo/W (5ton multifuel with HEMMT wheels), a 1 1/2 ton trailer with a VSS-1 searchlight powered by an MEP mo...

Re: Military vehicle museum auction!!

To clarify: The museum is on the same property as Idaho Motor Pool, hence the piles of tires, etc in some of the photos. The museum is being closed and sold off, NOT Idaho Motor Pool! The auction people came out a week or so ago, and have been there off and on over the ,last week taking pictures. We...

Re: Military vehicle museum auction!!

I spent all morning there today sorting out the comm gear. It is mostly done and awaiting the auction people to get it up on their auction site. They were going to do vehicle parts next. (I had to leave.) If anyone has any questions about anything there, I can run over and get further details. The g...

Re: Military vehicle museum auction!!

I am heading over Friday (12-07-18) to help Alex (Idaho Motor Pool) with the photos. The auction company is supposed to be there in the morning, and expects to be done late in the afternoon, so hopefully the auction website will have the items posted soon thereafter. If anything changes, I will advi...

Questions for a Moderator...............

The Idaho Military Vehicle Museum (in Fruitland) is calling it quits, and is going to have an online auction regarding most of the contents. (A bunch of stuff from WW2 stuff to essentially NOS. Vehicular, comms, weapons, clothing, odds and ends, you name it.) I have a few questions for whichever mod...

Value of an untested R442?

I have a guy selling a pretty good looking R442, but it is not tested to see if it actually works. I can't take it home and toss it on my MUTT, so.........
What's it worth as it sits?

Re: Mihandra Roxor

I hear what you are saying. I always wondered why most foreign car companies build their cars in the US, and most US car companies have a lot of their cars made outside the US. Anyway, back to the Mihandra issue-- when I first saw the teaser for it, I instantly wondered what market they were hoping ...
