HTN, which photos are you talking about ? The ones that get posted within a thread ? That's coz if the image posting site is under stress or the connenction is taking a beating then it'll load up all the stuff other than heavy picture files. Thumbnails stay, so do other pics if they are with 500MB limit.
Try again at a later stage and you'll see 'em. Works for me.
