Hi Floyd,

No there is no plan for a registry at this time. I had considered it, and decided not to make one for a few reasons. one, it appears that the majority of mutts do not have the original dataplates that came with them. These jeeps had no other markings unlike earlier jeeps which had frame stamps etc. just look at all the '71 fords out there that are neither '71's or fords for that matter...thus tainting the info... two, a lot of mutt owners are extremely paranoid about anyone having access to the info on their mutts, I imagine for a number of reasons. Therefore, we wouldn't get many responses, and the ones we did get would be of questionable value. three, Ken the muttguru has a sort of database he maintains and has researched mutts more deeply than anyone else so I use him as the source for all things mutt... I do think it would be cool to have a listing of sorts, so I will be doing a front page gallery view of the mutts so those who would like to show them off will be able to, like on the other site we all visit, but data will be limited. The joys of owning an outlaw jeep lol.....

Jim, I agree with that, the only one i'll share my data plate info with is Ken, the muttguru, in the UK.
I not that paranoid usually but I KNOW THEY ARE AFTER ME.
