I'd like to see more pictures of how he's securing those ammo cans to the fender.

That is an aftermarket tub. Dont know who made it but not uncle sugar.rear fenders are one piece, rear panel is too tall and blocky. Front fenders are tapered and have mud flaps. Rear wheel wells dont have ribs. Growler?

This one was a new one on me too, not like any Growler I have seen ?

I have seen the rear fender design before somewhere but cannot place it, could have been a tub from Mexico ?

I don't think it's a Growler or other aftermarket body. The surest telltale sign of a repop tub is in the firewall area. There will be no indentations for the horn, voltage regulator, etc. That area on a repop is smooth sheetmetal. To me, the body appears too perfect and smooth, especially the area behind the rear wheels. I think it's full of new sheetmetal and bondo, especially the bondo. I'm also not fond of the license plate brackets on the front (marine corps) bumper just in front of the wheels. Aftermarket seat covers. Trailer looks like a standard utility trailer, not something custom made. In fact, it looks a lot like mine, except mine is red in the areas that the paint is not chipped off, and I don't have ammo cans bolted all over it. Looks nice, but I wouldn't buy it without seeing the underbelly and checking it thoroughly with a magnet, especially in the "smooth" areas behind the rear wheels.

Sorry Raymond but your wrong on this one. Look at the rear panel. IT goes straight across at the top.The area above the rear wheels is one piece as the rear panel and fender. Not bondo dude it was made that way. The front fenders are angled instead of rounded. A "mutt" just like this was posted last yr on ebay. I think it is a titan

The Growler had straight edges with no radius where you feet go in the doorway. Titan/Encore had a v cut there and the original M151s all have a radius. All the repops had hard barely radiused corners on the front fenders. When viewed from the front, all the repops also had straight edges with no radiuses along where the fender joins the grill. All the repop tubs also had tailgates and swing away spare tire holders. They also had the rear light buckets in a different position. None of the repop tubs had the original seam lay out and indentations on the firewall. While all the former could be faked, the firewall is usually a dead giveaway for a genuine body tub. I still think it's an original tub with either Encore/Titan/Growler parts grafted on the rear or home made sheet metal on the rear with little attention to the original. Not trying to start any argument. Just my opinion. :)

The more I think about it the more I am convinced that the rear fenders are the same as the one I saw on the tubfrom mexico !

I will drop Otter a call and see if he has pictures of the tub he got from mexico.

Were some bodies made in Italy at some point ?

You talking about that little 'whatsit' on the driver-side bumperette?

I was wondering what the heck that thing was too.

Hi guys.

Wrote to the guy, here is the reply

"The "tub" is original but the rear of it was so badly damaged (bullet holes, rot, etc.) that we opted for repairing it (all metal - no plastic) in the finish and design as shown in the photos. We worked with the ORIGINAL body all the way, but the rear doesn't have all the indents that the original body did due to previous damage .-- this is the reply i got back from the owner after forwarding your email about not being an original tub, jeff"

I think the thing on the rear bumperette is a light for illuminating the rear license plate. Many states (including my state of Mo) require that the rear license plate be illuminated at night. I think the bolts on the gerry can holder are for securing a license plate.

Yep, trailer does look familiar. Mine is a Franklin. I do like the idea of the ammo cans as storage for chains and tie downs, just not quite so many of them!
