I am not a armored guy so I have no knowledge of this stuff but I see cast welded to plate and that gets my attention! I am assuming this was a made up piece in the field maybe?

I hated those things! They were mortar magnets! I'll take my chances on the outside, I could dig, or find a hole pretty damn fast when under fire.

I also saw that about the Gustaf, Not a whole lot different than the old LAWS. True on the above ground battlefield. I see these airburst weapons that just blanket the ground with shrapnel and think how I am glad that was not around when I was in! I guess the ACAV is not all that bad of an option. As I write this my house is shaking from Arty! I live on the ranges at JBMDL. I was Airborne so I saw a lot of those APC's burning as we flew over them and I just had to think of the guys inside when they got hit.
