RT 246A Radio and Mount and PRC 77 Radio

Unread post by Gettysburg63 » November 5th, 2016, 2:50 pm

These radios were rebuilt by the Army and never reissued. I put the RT 246A in my mount where my RT 524 radio is and put a battery in the PRC 77 and fired them up. Both work great. Talked back and forth to my friend, did five channel changes and clear reception all around. The RT 246A can be programmed with ten preset channel. Push a channel button and it tunes to that frequency and changes the numbers in the frequency window. It does not have a built in speaker like the RT 524. Your commo is through a hand mike. I have included an external speaker in the price. The PRC 77 comes with the ant and handset as pictured. The battery in the pictures is not for sale!

RT 246A: $850.00. With new mount and external speaker.

PRC 77: $800.00 with antenna's, hand mike and carrying bag.
