**SOLD** 1964 Kaiser M151 UNCUT & restored

Unread post by Vzike » November 17th, 2016, 1:22 pm

I just finished this 1964 Kaiser M151. It was uncut. Frame was intact, but the sheetmetal was pretty bad. I converted a lot of it. It has an A2 NOS wiring harness, a 60 amp alternator, and turn signals. Lots of new parts and panels. I did not work on or replace the transmission or differentials.

I'll post a list of all the work that went into it. I still have some bugs to work out, but it is running, driving, titled, has a new engine (yes, new out of the box, but torn down and re-gasket'd). Lights work. Has side canvas curtains and doors. Not sure if I have the door frames for it yet. Comes with the shovel, axe, and fuel tank. I'm posting it on a couple sites for $10k.

The stuff all over the bottom, including on some frame members is undercoating that would not come off when the tub was sand blasted.

I entered it in the Abacoa car show (200 cars) last weekend and won 3rd Place! OK.... it was a ringer. Veterans day show... trophy's to veterans..... it was the only military vehicle there.... All the other cars said "LOOK BUT DONT TOUCH!!". Mine sign said, "This has been to war, your kids can't hurt it." Everyone loved it.... how could they not give me a trophy??!!!

I used to be that way until I found both my shifter balls gone and my seats shredded. That was the final straw, the first time was from people pushing through the gears they managed to get it caught between gears and I had to disassemble the shifter to get the forks back in line. You should never force the shifter around when it is not running and people are not going to understand that. Nope, no more climbing around on mine. If you ask and I am there that is one thing but other than that, hands off.
