Will the seal work on a straight m151?

I believe I've read that the A2 seal is different from the A1 and the straight-up M151.
Re: Khaki doors & side curtains -&- windshield seals
That seal is the only seal you can get and it will work, it will be a little tight. 151 and A1 are the same.

Re: Khaki doors & side curtains -&- windshield seals
Rick, would you say that there is any danger of bending the windshield frame or breaking the glass given the fact that the seal is a little oversized? In other words, when dealing with the A2 seal on an A1 or straight 151, should he have some additional help when bringing the windshield frame into position so that it can be latched for the first time, rather than trying to do it one side at a time?
Re: Khaki doors & side curtains -&- windshield seals
No, I got my seal in from him and as you said it is very soft. It will compress. Just do not try to yank it down unevenly or too fast the first time. Keep in mind that A1 and A2 windshield hinges are different and need to be used in pairs, A1 pair or A2 pair will work but no mix and match. Once it has been on there for a while it will get better. Personally I do not put mine down so it will be fine for me. I got my share of bugs over the years riding motorcycles. Now they are worse since they stopped using DDT. (that is a good thing actually)

Re: Khaki doors & side curtains -&- windshield seals
I've installed the A2 windshield seal on a straight M151, and on an A1. Worked fine and was as easy as putting it on an A2. The trick is to use some soapy water and a good strong cord. Make sure there are no burrs on the inside lip that will catch either the seal or the cord.

He is talking about the body seal.

Also, I've bought the tan vinyl from Brent. What I received was in excellent NOS condition.

Ah... in that case, I'll totally agree with Rick. They seemed a lot tighter when I but that seal on the 151 and on the A1.rickf wrote:He is talking about the body seal.
Re: Khaki doors & side curtains -&- windshield seals
I bought a set of these khakis as well. I had the wherewithal and figured my truck is so FUBAR at this point, having a mix of green roof and khaki sides really doesn't matter.
Truth is, I got through our Texas winter with only a half-top (the old, tattered rags that came with it) so I may just set the khaki doors and side curtains aside for now.
I don't know where Brent Mullins is getting this stuff but if he has a market, I'm quite sure he'll continue to procure whatever he can sell.
