M37 for sale

Unread post by m3a1 » November 22nd, 2017, 2:29 am

Gentlemen, I met a very nice fellow today who is contemplating selling his nearly completed restoration of an M37-B with correct winch. Reportedly, it has a clear Texas title, runs and from what I could gather from my walk-around, all the work that has been done to this is excellent and it is nearly finished. He is old-school, has other MVs and other interests (such as antique farm tractors) and he wants this truck to go to someone who is in the MV hobby. He says he doesn't do much by way of the internet. I agreed to get this out there to the right people, so here it is. I am only promoting this vehicle...not brokering it. It is located near the San Antonio Texas area. I know nothing of his asking price. If you are serious and interested in knowing more, PM me with your contact info and I will pass it along to him. I think he is genuinely interested in selling but in no real hurry to do so as he is not actively offering this for sale. He knows what he has, lads... tire kickers need not apply.

Cheers,
TJ

The M37 B1 will have the pare tire on the drivers door. It looks like the bracket may be there but I see the tire in the older position in the bed. It is a good looking rig though. Does he have a price or just fishing?

He said he didn't like having the spare at the door and moved it. Mounting point is still at the door.

I wouldn't say he's necessarily fishing. He had a buyer but it turned out to be a fella who couldn't swing the deal. I just felt that such a project ought to fall into the hands of someone in the hobby, rather than some billy-bob who will ranch it and hunt with it till it dies.

He has other interests, such as restoring old tractors, so I don't know exactly what his motivation is, exactly. Something appears to be up because he was also tossing around the idea of selling his VERY nice M38 and wrapping up the M37. So, if you want to discuss it at length with him, PM me with your info and I'll see that he gets it.

The only reason why I'm not putting his info out here directly is because he still seemed to be one of those fellows who appreciates his privacy. I have met him exactly one time. If I get to know him better, perhaps things will start falling into place.

Cheers,
TJ

I would love it as it is exactly what I was looking for but I bought the one I have shown on here so I already have a project. Just curious where he is on price. I am sure most who are interested would like to know if he is asking 2,000 or 10,000. Kind of makes a difference in whether you are serious in contacting him or not if you know what I mean.

PM with your contact info and I'll happily pass it along. I didn't even discuss price with him, so I don't know. I just agreed to put it out to the right people. From the look of it, he's been into every last nut and bolt so I don't imagine he'll be letting it go for a song.
