M151’s on Craigslist (not mine)

Unread post by NVFords » January 15th, 2018, 1:33 am

I found this post for 2 MUTT’s here in Reno. Not mine but I know where they are if anyone has questions and doesn’t get a response from the Craigslist ad I can try to get info for you.

And what appears to be an Edsel next to it. Neat looking place.

An interesting mix of Army/Marine as well as A1 parts on A2, and vice versa. Some better shots showing usual rust locations would be a plus.

I don't see too much mixing other than a gas cap and the usual A2 windshield on the A1. I do see where someone has welded tubing around the A1 front fenders.
Still definitely worth looking at. Price is pretty steep though especially since it states right there that they have been out rock crawling so clutches are shot and underneath is beat up if not rusted.

Thanks guys. Not that it matters Rick but I think it’s an old mercury next to it. I remember seeing it when I talked to the guy about a truck a couple years ago.

I guess that’s part of why I posted it here too. I thought it seemed a bit high and I’m new to MUTT’s so I had no idea what a fair price would be. Probably out of my price range either way right now.

Yea, that's 9 grand each and from what I see they have been beat on pretty good. Going to need a lot of work. Two things to look for that mean a LOT on a M-151 are a title and little to "reasonable" rust underneath. You can find decent ones in the 5,000.00 range that are uncut and do not need too much work.
