It's very common to find jeeps in Texas (on ranches and hunting leases) with massive high rise hunting towers mounted to them. Encore even offered a folding tower modification.

The Alley Cat came to me with the 'Granny seat' (think, Beverly Hillbillies). When I got it, that was the first thing to go! Nasty!

That is going to be a hell of a deal for someone. It has the body tag and the very early front knuckles. Appears to be in real good shape also. The gas can mount is all wrong but that is removable. Looks like the fuel pump may be bad but that may also just be because it is not cranking enough to run the pump. Either way not a deal killer.

Been looking and looking at those pics to try to figure out why a real early mutt in such good shape would be at such a good price. The body is just too straight and there are no tool attachments on it. So that body has had extensive work. If you look at the pic of the front suspension and look back further underneath it looks like there is a fair bit of rust under there. I would have to see more pics underneath before committing to it I think. It has a later windshield and you can see that has been really cleaned up also, it is also "too straight".

That Fruehauf plate (DLC 9530-8287) indicates a Willys Motors M151 which would have been delivered around Nov-Dec 1963. That body does look too good to be true but you never know until you get to see it in real time.

It definitely has a bondo wipe, you can tell by the front fender pic and front floors have been replaced.

Yup. Someone has simply closed the hood over the hood latch on the right, as can be seen in one of the other pics....and so, it looks a little wonky. My guess is it's probably all right.

Ya know, I've heard of "marine applications" for the M151 series engine, but never knew it was the powerplant for the HAWK carrier. Interesting......
