1972 M151A For Sale SOLD

Unread post by Eric S » November 25th, 2020, 1:20 pm

Vehicle was painted tan by the US Miltary in California before a civilian sale..Less that 7000 miles that I presume are original...Un-Cut and totally rust free.Body has had No previous damage to include the tool and battery box.I doubt that a better Un-Restored body is available anywhere period!Image.Only issue it has is an inaccurate fuel gauge,,24V,, I removed the ROPS system but is available to the buyer ,Has brand new Tires and temp gauge and sender..Runs great with 0 issues $18000.00...Not interested in any trades and am not forced to sell...

Doubt no more. Un-restored, no rust, no damage bodies DO exist. My Barstow is also like yours, but with 3100 documented miles. The first owner, a museum, acquired it from the USMC with 300 miles, and they put on the rest, storing it in the museum building until I got it.

I'm with Buddy. Very nice looking truck. Question for you: Does that have the adapter plate for the ignition and light switch? It doesn't look like it does from the picture. If not, the military covered the original rather than use the plate?

Here is a picture of mine:

Did you buy around Winchester, VA? Guy owns a gun store? If so, I've seen the truck.

I must be missing something. I can't see the ROPS dash plate like is shown on my picture.

I can vouch for the prior owner, purchased a vehicle from him years ago and have discussed this vehicle with him. Anything coming out of his possession is rock solid mechanically. Assuming it has been taken care of by current owner one cannot go wrong with this 151. I am told it is one of the best original condition Mutts out there. Just my 2 cents!
1976 M151A2 4 Color Cammo Mutt, aquired August 09
1976 or 7? M151A2 "Miss Sandy" Driver, aquired May 2010
Former owner M151A2 "Miss Saigon" Vietnam Rescue Sold Sept 09
Fond appreciation for the M151 Breed!!
