M151-A2 For Sale

Unread post by Cobra5 » December 20th, 2007, 1:48 pm

I found this on SF Bay Craigs list and e-mailed the guy to request pictures. He also told me he will throw in the M-60 and pedestal for an extra 1K. All total he's asking $9,800. I see a few things that aren't right but it looks nice and it's uncut. Anyway, it's too much for my blood. Here's the link he has other items that might be of interest. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/car/509534398.html

interesting...A2 tub but everything else looks early A1 or 151...even the air cleaner was old style. grille, windshield etc... too much money for mix and match mutt...lol if price were right worth saving though.

Hey HTN.
Nothing wrong with the shackles at all. Realign the operator head space,
and their 100%. Strange combination of all M151's represented there.

Not a bad looking vehicle but way to much money for all of the mismatched parts. I am sure that whomever buys it can trade what they have for what they need butt still a lot of money! The shackles are interesting, maybe it was on a rotissreie and was upside down when they were put on? Whoops!

Looks like it has the horn-style hood latch.

You'de need a good pic of the rear end and or suspention to see if it is A1 or A2. But with all the mix and parts not worth the price he's asking.
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....

It appears to be an M-151. If the firewall is unmodded there is no body tag on the firewall like the A-1 & A-2. The later151 has it on the right frame rail near the vac pump and on the very early (60-61) the tag is on the left frame rail under the radiator. Appears to have 151 type W/S tiedown on hood, not spot welded footman loop as A-1, A2. Also if you zoom in you can see the 3 wires coming off the oil press safety sw (None on A-2). Could not make out the type W/S bumpers it has , if any. It has what looks like an M-4 gun mount installed. As the other comments say there is too much 151 stuff for it to be an a-2. Looks like the only A-2 parts are the front fenders / lights and windshield washer can.It also is running an alternator as can be seen up close and there is no voltage regulator on the firewall. Looks like 600x16 tires too. Sill this could be converted back and made into a nice 151 but you would have a chunk of change in it. I know most of you guys out there know the differences I've noted but this is for the new guys who may not have a lot of 24087 under their finger nails . Also it builds the knowledge base on the G838 board as one guy put it. Bill

I asked the guy for a year manufactured and if it had a title. He has yet to get back to me about the year. I think I'll e-mail and ask for more pictures.
