1962 Ford M151 For Sale - Colorado

Unread post by mrdibbles » February 13th, 2008, 9:21 am

Hey Guys-
A friend of mine turned me on to this early M151. Please note right off that I have no financial interest in this vehicle. Just trying to help what seems like a nice guy, from my conversations with him, sell a good M151.

The M151 was recently running but isn't right now (carburetor problems), it is uncut, and was recently rescued from an owner that was using it as a hunting rig. I never asked him if it has a title so that's up to you if you're interested. He gave me the numbers off the dataplate and they read:

Contract: DA-20-018-0RD-23240
MFG: 2D4891
Date of Delivery: 6-62

The Seller's information is:
Name: Casey
Phone Number: 303-775-4822
Location: Mead, CO

The asking price is: $1,900

Looks pretty solid, Is it an optical illusion or is the vacuum pump broken off? It is going to need a lot of parts.

Dunno rickf, I can't see what your seeing if the vacum pump is broken off, and lord knows nobody will comment
on the engine paint, but the engine compartment is white, right? If the vacum pump is broken, that's too bad
cause I'd like to see those wiper blades work the way they're set up. Love the additional storage fore and aft, but
too bad about the sawsall and the metal behind the rear seat. Not what I'd do with it, but it's look like it was a
functional huntin rig as it sits. Wish I had those hood latches and the mag wheels. Thanks for posting it MrD, I for
one like to see what's out there waitin to be restored. Looks like I'm not the only one that needs to replace an
original fuel tank!

No problem Rainman. I would have thought that M151 would be long gone by now. Aren't the early Fords pretty darn desirable?

the early ford A2's are whats rare i think.....any A2 is more desirable than the earlier ones, probably because of the tip over problem....

I wonder if it still has the 3 ribbed hood and the correct grill. If some one here gets it and need some parts body wise I might have what you need.
