It doesn't seem to be in too bad shape. Thank goodness it is too far away for me to go look or I might buy it and I really don't need another jeep (well maybe I do) as I have enough projects.

Steve, just out of curiosity: What does your handle mean? "kb0jyl", is it pronounceable?

Spike;
That is my ham radio call sign. It is easy for me to remember as a user name, as it seems once you pass 50 things get harder to remember.

U.S. ARMY MARS callsign-AAR7BB (inactive at the moment)
U.S. ARMY unofficial call sign-toto (only person in the company from Kansas)
Skywarn ham radio callsign- WX0TOP
County emergency serivices callsign- SN806

LOL ok now that I bored you to death.

Too many radio licenses to keep track of some times.

Okay, I requested pictures from this guy. He sent me a few but nothing worth posting so I asked for a few more. Anyway not to sound stupid but I noticed he has the horn mounted on the left side of the engine. Shouldn't it be on the right side? I'll keep you posted if I get anymore info. BTW what do you think shipping from NC to MT would cost for a non running vehicle?

Tim you can get quotes for shipping. Here is the proper place for the horn. Going for a fleet?

Floyd,

I'm torn between another A-2 or bid on an upcoming 2 1/2 ton. BTW; the EUC paperwork required by the gov auction house, is this something that can be submitted prior to winning or is it vehicle specific? Not sure what I'm going to do with a duece since it doesn't seem to be too many people out in my neck of the woods woth the OD fever. :lol:

Tim: It would seem to me that Montana would be the spot for a Deuce. Since the Army is dumping all their older trucks now would be a good time to find one. I would bet you can find one (running) for less than you would pay for another A2. I read a story the other day about a fellow that waited ten years to buy his truck (M-35). He said it was every thing he had wanted and more. If they ever release mine I’ll let you know. Yeah! Ya have to wait for the bid award, and then you apply for the EUC, End User Certificate. All this paper is a 9-11 thing. That’s why these things are taking soooo long to process. It’s new too them also (relatively speaking).

Floyd

As far as the fever, you could be the carrier. 8) It may spread. :shock:

The horn is relocated to the left hand side if the 180amps alternator is used. But then also the washer reservoir is on the left hand side.
