M718 ambulance complete kit and truck *kit is sold*

Unread post by njjeeper » September 29th, 2011, 9:22 am

If you want to build a M718 ambulance, this is your chance! This is nearly every part you need to make a complete 718 out of a standard M151 or complete your M718 project. Many of these parts are extremely hard to find and very expensive if you do find them(Beechwood Canvas gets $3500 to make the top!!). I am only selling this as a set right now and I don’t plan to break it up unless I get a crazy offer. I have considered keeping it until I find a suitable donor 151 but I figured I would at least try to sell it first to make the wife happy  Collecting all of these same parts for my show ambulance took me 8 years of searching. This is a chance to buy it all at once!

Also for sale is the M718 truck that this stuff goes on. It’s a poor re-weld with a lot of rust. I plan to part that out if the ambulance kit sells and nobody wants the truck. It’s an A1 with no data plate and no title. Could be fixed by a motivated individual but needs work! Its complete and the motor turns. Currently disassembled for inspection. With the right offer on the truck I would throw in the complete underbody repair kit I got with it.

I am only posting this here for now. If I dont get any hits ill throw it over on the 503. I wanted to give this group first crack since this is my goto spot for 151 stuff.

**EDIT** - This parts collection is in no way associated with the M718 I have been taking to shows this summer :) Its a completely different vehicle!

Complete M718 ambulance kit

NOS Canvas Top(rear windows each have a small defect from folding)
NOS Canvas side curtains
Complete top structure with bows and rods
Rear body extension
Side spare tire mount
All 3 litter racks
The litter horseshoe rack
Nearly all the floor brackets(2 missing)
Body brackets for top
Full set of litter rails
2 litters
Folding passenger seat
Ambulance dimension plate
Spacer plate for side-mount jerry can
Fording exhaust to clear the extension
Rear corner shackles(needed for the body extension)
Rear fender cusion

Ambulance Kit = $2000
M718 Truck = $750

I could also be into trades for other MV’s. I like Deuces and M37’s!

Some of the brackets arent in these pics because I still have to dig them out.

NJ
Am I missing something here (other then the opertunity of a lifetime :) )? Are you converting your "show winning" M718 back into a plain Jane A1?

No, this has nothing to do with my show 718. This is a completely seperate vehicle and parts collection. The ambulance kit is a combination of stuff I recently got with the cut 718 truck and extra pieces I have collected over the years. Ill edit the original ad to make it more clear. Thanks for the heads up that its confusing! Sometimes things sound a lot better in my head then they look on paper :)

The ambulance kit is sold. The truck is still available. $300 for the rolling chassis and $350 for the power pack.
