M151A1 Forsale

Unread post by k8icu » June 15th, 2008, 10:52 pm

Well time are tight and I need the cash to keep the roof over my head, so me and my old girl and I are splitting up...no not my wife, but my M151A1. I have had this jeep for 23 years. It has a few dings and a few areas that need some TLC, but she starts, runs good and strong and is in very good shape. It is titled as a 1960 but I believe it is more around 1965 or 66. There are a few mods. The rear tail lights have been changed to A2 style for safety. A2 tail light sections were welded in place of the original tail light sections. The exhaust was replaced 10 years ago with an aluminized steel system by a local exhaust shop. Those are the only modifications done to the vehicle. The turn signal flasher box needs to be replaced. It is a cut in half re-weld, but was rewelded by master welder and is still very strong. Has PRC25 radio with power supply, antenna etc and it does work. Vinyl top. Seats are a mix of canvas and vinyl. Jeep is done in MP Markings and has been newly repainted in 4 color cammo. Includes sirren and light. I have a lot of spare take out and a NOS parts including a spare engine, diffs, exhaust, springs, brakes, manifolds, and so on that I can include in the sale. Also included are a set of doors and side curtains, but they are in poor condition.

Price with spare parts $6000
With out spare parts $5500 obo.

Jeep is located in Cleveland Ohio. I am looking for it to go to a good home where it will get the TLC it deserves. Contact Joe at k8icu@yahoo.com if interested. I can take more pictures upon requests.

Here are some pics.

Hey K8icu,

Sorry to hear about the parting of the ways. I know Army Green Radio John has expressed an interest in a lower dollar M151 in the recent past. I have offers coming in regularly for mine, maybe not serious offers, but I always here "what will you take for it" and "been wanting one of those for years" comments.

I thought I bought all your spare parts already? You were holdin out an engine and diffs from me huh? WTH? :D Is there an "OBO" in the offing? I'll see John and Kevin H. tonight and pass along your info to them too. I can fit you into a trailer if you want a lift down to the Mid-Ohio! :P

Hope you won't go jeepless for too long there Joe!

I hadn't planned on selling it, but I need to take care of my family. So the spare parts that I was holding for myself can go with the jeep or they can stay. I will have another one someday.

Huh...not even a nibble or even any questions. If your thinking about getting another jeep or know someone who is you need to contact me quickley as I need to sell this real quick. So if by Sunday I don't have any offers I'm going to put it up on ebay. I don't want to sell it that way, but may be forced to. It is a very nice jeep. Can be driven every day if you want.
