RT-524 Display radios for sale

I had to buy three non-working RT-524's to make one functional unit for my 1961 MUTT restoration. I had it rebuilt by a commo defense contractor I know. That is the unit pictured. I am having the other two restored cosmetically so that they will appear like mine either in OD or CARC Green. If you are looking for a visual show piece, this will be it. Plenty of room inside to put your own CD player or other devices. Price is $250.00 each.

That was 2 years ago, you might want to contact 9th infantry since he bought both of them. I do know Kevin come into a bunch of parts though so you never know. He is always finding good stuff!

I will check with my Defense Contractor friend and see if he has any more display models and will also get a price on a rebuilt one. Kevin.

OK, I checked and here are the prices. For a non working unit restored to what is pictured the price is $450.00. For a fully functional radio as pictured the price is $1100.00. My friend, who owns the company with the gov't commo contracts rebuilt mine to spec and furnishes the same technical check sheet that the Army gets when he rebuild one of their radios. The non working prices are higher than mine at the time because I owned all three radios. The non working comes from his stock.Kevin.
