NOS rebuilt 151 engine

Unread post by clemmotors » April 16th, 2014, 10:17 am

I have a NOS rebuilt engine that I believe is fording ready. I will have more details later after I can get to it. Its behind a couple other blocks. I was saving it for upcoming projects but I realize it's not happening any time soon. I will get the tag numbers and post some pics soon. if interested let me know.

Welcome to the g838, it would help if we know where you are located, just the state will do. :)

I'm interested but need to know price and location as well. Also, contract dates, completeness etc would be helpful.
Thanks

The "Location" question is the third most asked question on this forum. Is it possible to make it mandatory on "Sign Up"? I'm just sayin.........

It was talked about some time back and some members feel it should not be mandatory so, it has not been changed. :) PS!! I think it should be at least in the for sale section.

Personally I think at least a state should be mentioned. I know there are several times I would like to have bought things but did not offer because I did not know where they were. Back in the days of cheap UPS shipping it was not a big deal but it is expensive now to ship a carburetor! What do you think Jim?

I'll take it!
Only if it's in my home town (location) and if you only want a hundred bucks for it (price).
Clemmotors, I'm sure someone around here will want it.

I doubt you'll here anything more from this person. Sounds like someone who got an engine and doesn't know much about it other than he probably googled m151 and found this site. He signed up and lists it with the typical statement of saving it for a project that he can't get to and now its for sale. The guy has no interested in this hobby except for trying to make a buck.

I tend to agree. You put something up for sale on a dedicated site and never answer any questions? He did come back and sign in Wednesday night so he knows people are looking but I guess he does not want anyone to know where he lives. Oh well. Not like they are rare.

To the OP:
WOuld be nice to know what you have, location, price you are asking, tag dates, etc. Pics too.

FWIW, I have sold these in the past few years for not a lot of money. You aren't going to retire on this puppy. It may even be a takeout that you think is fresh from rebuild, as many of these were rebuilt just a bit before they went to the scrappers, then taken out and stored. Many look newly rebuilt, but are in fact takeout engines.

So post up what ya got!
