Parting Out 1967 A-1
Well I decided that the 67 is too far gone to bring back from the grave so I'm going to carve it up like a Thanksgiving turkey and sell off the parts. If anyone is interested in anything drop me an e-mail at malachinski6@gmail.com. It looks better in this photo than in person. This is a reweld and the subframe is shot along with most of the sheetmetal.
Re: Parting Out 1967 A-1
I would be interested in some of the panels of it.

I'll have to take a look at those and see if they are worth pulling.Roboskid wrote:I need the metal hook the battery box latches onto.
Fuel tank is pretty rusty and there are a couple pin holes in the top. Give me an email address and I'll send you some photos.circleburner wrote:how about the gas tank?
You need to be more specific because the sheet metal is pretty rough.BillF wrote:I would be interested in some of the panels of it.

I am looking at an m718 I may buy. However it is rotted on both sides at the front of the door open where is it curved. I Could use both sides from the side of the cowl to about the place where the seats go. That would give me enough metal to repair that location on the m718.

Bill,
The cowl and sides are already taken. This jeep is a re-weld and the sides aren't as good as they look. Somebody had one hell of a bondo party on this jeep. I think the bondo is the only thing holding together.

Re: Parting Out 1967 A-1
Hey Cobra5 - I could us some stuff off your A1 if it's still available:
1. The horn
2. Any parts of the vaccuum wiper system: vaccuum valve, wiper motors, clips (?) to hold all the vaccuum tubing in place.
3. Do you happen to have the straps to mount the jerry can on the bumperette, I'd like to have some originals (even if they are wasted)
4. Are parts off the engine fair game? If so I'd like to buy all the brackets and bolts associated with the generator (if it's a 60 amp unit)
(mine just does not fit right ???)
5. How about that funky little copper EGR tube (the one that has the big bend in it)? Mine's messed up and I need a copper replacement.
6. How about the rear tailights?
7. Probably not on your '67 A1, but what kind of front seatframes does it have? I'd like to have a set with the crazy adjustment winder on the front.
Can't think of anything else right now - I need to get home from work to take a peek what else I could use.
Thanks!!!!

Elvis,
I'll take a look tonight when I get home and check those items. I did have one gentlemen inquire about the horn so I will get in touch with him and let you know if its still available. I do have a lot of other folks emailing me about parts.

Re: Parting Out 1967 A-1
Hopefully I have answered everyones emails and PM's. Here's what the jeep looks like now. When we pulled of the pieces off the firewall on this one it was packed full of dirt and debris. You can see all the corrosion that was underneath those panels. We tried to save the driverside panel but it was too far gone and decided it wasn't worth the effort.
