I tried to get this guy to send me info for days before the initial post, no response. Hope you get them Mark. I was only interested in the non-running one anyway.

Re: Pair of A-1s on Austin CL
He did finally get back to me with some additional pics. The running jeep is definitely welded. He says the non-running is uncut. I asked him in three different emails how much rust was in the body of the non-runner, he would not be specific. The last email he said it would have to be sand blasted to know how much rust was in it. I just couldnt get him to take any pictures of value underneath or inside the tub. If it is solid the pair would be a sweet deal for somebody. I think he wants to sell but it isn't a priority! Stay on him CSM, maybe he will get back with you.

He emailed me to let me know that they are sold. If you bought them, post up some pics of your new find.

Welcome Machflite, BEWARE, there's no cure for the OD Green disease.
Re: Pair of A-1s on Austin CL
While I am trying to get the pictures uploaded....
The green one is a '65. It runs for a while then starts backfiring and dies like timing, plugs and/or ignition is not quite right. The unibody and frame fairly solid I suppose - I am did not really see any glaring issues with the re-weld. The fenders, and some spots on the floor are in rough shape. Shifts thru all gears, clutch seems OK. He had the windshield and wiper assembly seems to all be there, but both glasses are cracked. I would say this one alone was worth the money even if you did nothing else but use it as a hunting vehicle (that is what both were used for). Seems like all the wiring and controls are there. I am not sure what aftermarket panels are available, but this one would need panels or new sheet metal all the way around probably. I can't believe the amount of bondo on this thing. I think I would have rather re-work all the sheet metal than put all the bondo someone put on it!
The other one is a '66. Has the motor and tranny. Claims the motor was rebuilt not too long before it got parked, but unfortanetly the ranch hands robbed parts off of it and failed to seal up the okaces they robbed parts from hence I cannot turn the crank. I will pull it later and tear it down to see how rebuilt it was... Missing the rear diff, rear drive shaft, carb, generator, and relay panel are the major missing pieces I see. hey puled the original gas tank and put a newer plastic tank in its place.
I'll try a few pics from photobucket here and post a link to them in case I don't manage to figure it out...

Re: Pair of A-1s on Austin CL
Other than the grill and front fenders this one would be the one to restore. It was cut, just a better job of re-weld than the green one. I think it had about 6 different colors of paint!
