Thank you csmith. I attempted to post pictures but was unsuccessful.
I just now listed the jeep with detailed pictures on orlando.craigslist (search: 1960 Ford Army Jeep).

Other than a couple of period pieces that are not correct that thing is immaculate!!! The underneath looks like new. I very seldom say this but I think your price may be on the low side. Definitely do not haggle on the price.

Thanks RickF. Your input is very much appreciated.
Yes, as you can tell from the pictures the underneath is "like new". With a little elbow grease and minor tweaking, it could be a show winner.
FYI, I have been a member of this group for several years, but lost my password and had to start over.

Thanks Fil Bonica.
The only holes in the body were the original ones for the radio mount and the gun pedestal.

Richard,
that's a very nice early M151...... if it were mine, I'd keep it !
For my research, do you have the original dash dataplate (if it's still there)? And did you find the body-tag? How "early" is the body number?
just wondering.....

Re: 1960 M151 Run #1 For Sale
Thanks Muttguru, wish I could keep the M151 but circumstances dictate otherwise.
The hood # was 2B7059.
There is a metal tag riveted to the top of the drivers side frame rail under the radiator, stamped with the number "616".
Please advise, am I correct on the build date of December 1960?

Hello again Richard,
I have some details from a very close neighbour of the one you have, and that is a December 1960 delivery, so it looks like yours is, too.
Congratulations
Ken

My M151 is back on the market (out of state buyer was a no-show).
