M151A2 Float

Unread post by kmam » June 17th, 2016, 4:18 am

I need a new float for my 1976 M151A2 and have not had any luck finding one via google. Can someone please help me or steer me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Are you sure you need a new float or just a float valve(needle valve)? the floats rarely go bad unless it gets a hole in it. I think the large carb kit comes with the float valve.

Thanks for the replies. We were installing the full kit and at the point of adjusting the float level when the composite material split. At present waiting for some bonding glue to cure but that is inly a temporary solution.

Fil, thanks for the offer. I will PM you.

They do? Any kind of link or part number? I plan to start rebuilding them and would like to find a supplier for carb kits using fresh materials.
I have never heard anything about them still making carburetor and the last contract was overseas so they have nor supplied the government since around the mid eighties. I would love some more info on that.

The kit are about $34 plus shipping most of what we need is in the kit.
