Looking For Some Stuff for M151A1
Always looking for things to help keep the old girl running and looking (relatively) good.
(In no specific order)
1. The rubber parts of the vacuum lines used on carb and vac pump hard lines. Clamps seem okay, but an new set if they exist would be cool too! FOUND AT PARTS STORE - PRESTONE SELLS IN 6 FOOT SECTIONS. DONE
2. Some screws for the top of the distributor cover. Yes I lost them and have no idea where they went... SEE THE NOTE FROM FOWLERCAL (thanks!) DONE
3. The vertical bar that you attach to the top frame and stick in the bracket on the body behind the driver and passenger
to hold the doors closed (when attached). I could use both sides (pass and driver).
4. The two section round exhaust clamp held together with two allen-headed bolts between the tailpipe and the muffler section. Drilling out what's left the of bolts on mine but another one would be cool too.
5. An interior rear view mirror for a 1966 M151A1. I think that's the little round one?? DONE
6. The hardware for the front seat attachments. I have bolts in there but I'm sure they are supposed to be pins with clips as I can see what's left of the chains hanging there. OFF OF EBAY. DONE
7. The welting (and the rivets) for the top of the grille. Mine is mostly there, but the material has popped out of several of the rivets especially on the sides... EBAY DONE
8. Bolts for the flywheel housing cover. When I took the trans out I discovered where one of the strange noises was coming from!! I have the cover, but it was just hanging there and once in a while not playing well with the flywheel.....
SEE HELP BELOW FROM PHIL AND BART1015. DONE
Any help/wisdom or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Looking For Some Stuff for M151A1
Ill check for the bolts for the flywheel cover. I believe they are slot headed screws? Please confirm and let me know. I am sure I have some.
Also, I do have an extra vertical support. I can send it to you to use as a pattern to make yourself a set. I only ask to send mine back in a reasonable amount of time.
Cost will be shipping.

Re: Looking For Some Stuff for M151A1
As was said the predominance are slot head 1/4 -20 screws. The ones closest to flywheel are hex head bolts.
Hope this helps.

Re: Looking For Some Stuff for M151A1
Bart1015 - Thanks for the info!! I'm without any bolts for the flywheel cover. Could send me a pick of one and maybe I can find some?? I just have no idea of what they should be!!
As for the vertical support - I have a set of bubba mods that someone made. I'm actually looking for some real ones to go with the rest of the frames I have.
Thanks so much for the offer, you are very kind and an asset to this hobby!
(and so is Fil as he usually comes up with all kinds of goodies!!!)
Along that note - what kind of goodies do you have for sale at the moment Fil ??? Anything off my list??
FYI - I just purchased an NOS clutch release lever so I'm hooked there!!!
Thanks gentlemen!!
A little extra - how about these guys??

The last ones I got was from Mutt Parts, I think Rich sold out but you can email them.

Fil Bonica is the really old guy on my left with his son Andrew behind us, Next is Bob Amon and Joe Siconovich. I am sure I spelled Joe's name wrong, sorry Joe. That is Joe's A2 next to me and Bobs A2 behind him. Unfortunately we do not hear from Bob anymore, it is a shame since we had a lot of fun together.

Rick, you look like you're 30 yrs. old and in great shape, you must jog a lot, , and with the suspenders and belt you're definitely not "saggin", , actually a good looking crew with a lot of knowledge, hope to meet you guys one day.

Re: Looking For Some Stuff for M151A1
Just thought that it would add some sunshine to our discussion - and it sure does look like everyone was having a good time, and that of course, is what it's all about.
I guess I could add a pic of myself, but I don't want to scary anyone!!
Brought Jeepy to a Vietnam Vet benefit/reunion and had a great time supporting their event.

I want to say 34079? I remember there was a discussion about it many years ago and he also wrote up the whole history of the vehicle on the 503 probably 10 plus years ago. I should know because every time I would work on it he would spray some paint from a buzz bomb into the lid of the can and take a detail brush and repaint the bolt heads!

It's always nice to be able to put a face with a username. Problem is I can't remember faces for the life of me. I could run into you tomorrow in a store and never know it.Elvis Presley wrote:Just thought that it would add some sunshine to our discussion - and it sure does look like everyone was having a good time, and that of course, is what it's all about.
