M151A1 Stuff Needed and/or Available

Unread post by Elvis Presley » January 15th, 2017, 2:43 pm

Happy New Year Folks!!

Hoping for warm weather so I can get back out in the garage!!

Here's some stuff I have laying around that someone might be able to use or perhaps we can work out a trade see - maaaaahh!! (spoken like a 1940's mobster...)

A2 steering wheel
A2 column with the steering box
A2 windshield (does have one pane of glass cracked)
A2 grille (with no bulbs)
Vinyl top, sides and door panels (green)
Also some not too bad vinyl seat covers (I can extract all the farts out of them first if you like..)
I also have a Holly carb on my A1 that I have been using for as long as I've had her. I'm thinking I'd like to put a Zenith on there one of these days.

Stuff I could use:

A1 radiator or core
A1 fender support bracket for pass side (the fender bracket with the two big holes stamped in it)
A1 windshield glass panels
A1 underbody repair panels (curious if anyone has any random things left after a restoration???)
Headlights - even used ones would be cool (In a fit of stupidity I bought a few "made somewhere else" lights and guess how that went??)
Two vertical rear door bars -the one that fits into the bracket on the front of the rear fender and bolts to the top bar. I have some hillbilly versions and although rebar does give you a cool construction site look, I'd like to have two real ones.
Anybody have a original data plate for an A1 delivered in 1966? (I know, wow not asking for much are you??) Mine is blank and according to muttguru it was delivered in mid '66.

A strange idea - anyone have prints, drawings or pics of an armor setup for an A1?
I'd like to make one out of aluminum (with steel brackets) to get the look and avoid the weight (don't well all say that??)
Any insight is of course always appreciated!!

Another strange idea - I saw a gun jeep with a mermite hooked in place of the jerry can. Anyone seen that or have an insight into how it was mounted?
Looks like a cool exterior beer carrier... I mean, no open intoxicants in the vehicle that way! (very sneaky).

As always Keep 'Em Rolling!

Have a great day!
