LF/WTB: Complete M151A2...
Hi guys,
I've been bitten by the Army Jeep bug again 15 years after selling my mint M38A1CDN3. I want to fix up something different this time.
I'm looking for a fairly complete M151A2 for a restoration project.
I have a pretty decent budget and would prefer something that isnt very rusty, runs well etc.
Heres the kicker. I'm in Ontario Canada, so i'd prefer if it was located in the Northern US (MI, NY, IL, VT, PA, MA etc) or Canada. I'm willing to travel to get it.
I'm gonna require some pictures as well.
Contact me here, or e-mail armybuck043@hotmail.com
Thanks
Scotty B

Here's the listing and there is only 14 hours left. If this is too much of a project than I'd suggest looking in the for sale section and give dimonjim a call (609-654-5070) he has an A-2 for sale. He's located in New Jersey. Good Luck!

I was looking at it... The body is in very bad shape.
Hoping to find something that won't need replacement panels.

I've seen Diamond Jim's A2 in person, and thats a pretty good tub, some dings in the front fenders, but uncut and very little rust. You'll have a very hard time finding a better one unless you find someone willing to part with a completely restored one. He has it posted on here and the price is very reasonable.
Have you checked out Niagara Military Parts in Welland Ontario? They might still have a few A2's for sale. 905-732-4122

I had a look at the pictures of Jims A2. Looks pretty damn good compared to some of the stuff up here in Canada.
If all else fails locally, I might have to make a trip south.

Re: LF/WTB: Complete M151A2...
diamnojim also had a lot of parts he was trying to sell. I'm sure he will have most of the parts you need to complete the vehicle. I was looking into buying the two A-2's he had and the load of spare parts but the cost to transport to my location was too high . I think he sold the other A-2 so he's down to this last one. I can't believe no one has bought it yet .

Well after talking to the owner, I think i'm gonna go with this little gem in New Brunswick.m-11 wrote:Here's the listing and there is only 14 hours left. I can tell you that all the parts that Jim had are gone. I don't know for sure if the mutt went at Aberdeen but I will find out. I will be seeing him this week.

Re: LF/WTB: Complete M151A2...
I picked up 2 x 74 CDN A2's
Both are cut, but the "reconnection" is extremely good, as they both only had 1 single straight cut. Uncut MUTT's are virtually impossible to find up here these days and after alot of research, trying to import one from the US was going to take too much time, not to mention the cost of transporting it up here.
One is a virtually complete strong runner but the body is rough underneath.
The other has a very good body, but is missing a bunch of parts and is not running reliably.
I'm going to transfer components from the good runner to the good tub. This will leave me with a bunch of spares, and with a bit of luck, I shouldn't need to buy too many parts to do the project.
I'm going to try and get it rolling for the rest of the summer, and then focus on the project this winter.

Re: LF/WTB: Complete M151A2...
Diamond Jim's 1977 A2 is SOLD! Don't you guys try and be buying/selling my hubby's MUTT!
Jim did however say he was keeping the last one he had for himself. Maybe if you pleaded really hard you can get him to give it up.
