How do I find parts for our M151? HELP!

Unread post by warlock454 » June 4th, 2008, 11:27 am

Hi I am new here on behalf of my husband. We have a 1966 M151 that needs u-joints to the rear differential, and a water pump. We are unsure where to look for parts, used or new, and any advice would be appreciated! We are in central Missouri if that makes a difference.

Thanks, Dawn

Hi Dawn,

Welcome to the site! For 151 parts, there are 3 main suppliers that I use:

http://www.flmv.net/ (Front Line Military Vehicles)
http://www.saturnsurplus.com/ (Saturn Surplus)
http://www.tnjmurray.com/ (TNJ Murray)

All the above have a wide selection of parts, and all should be able to provide you with what you need. When I'm in need of parts, I go by the order I've listed above.

Hope that helps.

If you call TNJ Murray, make sure you talk to John Murray. Don't send an e-mail.

Just remember Dawn, when you do all the leg-work and research on these type of vehicles for the hubby, YOU get to drive it first when it's all running. (and keep reminding him about it)

Welcome Dawn, Where are you hailing from? Seems like every one coming in lately has been from Ohio! I use Saturn the most, very quick shipping to NJ. If I call before lunch I will usually have the parts the next day!

TrueXena, I like that idea, truly, BUT I can't claim it <g>. He's been fixing my '71 'vette, and putting off his M151, so I'll let him have his toy, and I have mine :)

Rick, thanks, I am going to try and get his parts ordered today. We hail from Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri :)

I live in Clarksville Mo. Finally someone with a M151 less than 8 or 10 hours away. I stay away from the Lake of the Ozarks in the summer BTW. Way too crazy for me. Kind of the equivalent of Manhattan rush hour traffic only with boats on water. We go boating on the Mississippi River. We go for a lake boating vacation once a year but usually go to Bull Shoals or Norfork lake.

I would have to say I would pick the Vette over the Mutt also. Those are my favorite years. That would not happen to have the most drooled over L88 emblem on the hood with the third pedal on the floor would it?
