Needing M151A2 Body parts
Greetings all. I have been on here for a while and really enjoy reading all the M151 stuff posted. I am currently looking for the rear panel end to end with the spare tire holder on it to put on my mutt. I have a M151a2 with repo body from Gatesville Texas in the early 80"s. I have already redone the front fenders to A2 configuration and it turned out great. SO next is the rear to configure. It does not have a tailgate and the opening is close to a M151a2 but no cigar. Also need a shovel head bracket to put on too. I pretty much have everything else right now. Will be trying to get it to close configuration of USMC MUTT from the early 80's when I was in the Marine Corps. Any help appreciated. Thanks, BIG

Welcome to G838 What kind of repop body do you have, as there are several, including Growler, Titan, Encore, Perini, etc. Got any pictures to share, even if they are of a work in progress We are a very visual group here.

Re: Needing M151A2 Body parts
It from a now defunct company or person from Gatesville Texas area as I was told. The person or company was making them with thicker gage steel bodies and all welded bodies Back in the 80's to early 90's. It has a 93 title with a Texas VIN assigned to it. Great having it clear titled and inspected in Texas to be able to drive it. It has all M151a2 parts on it (except body) Had the A1 style front fenders with the A2 blinkers. I have since changed out the front fenders by welding in NOS replacement M151A2 fenders. Maybe one day I will be able to figure out how to post pics. It is currently Flat Primer Black. I am waiting to weld on more body stuff before I committ ti paint. Plans are to paint it the 4 color camo pattern of the Marines in the late 70's to 80's. BIG

I also picked up an old M416 to hopefully clean up to go with it. Best part is it was $70. Had to pick up a few thing for it though to re-do it to close to configuration. It does have a great DATA Plate with a 11-64 delivery date.

Get a photobucket.com account (it's free) upload your pics to them (it's fairly simple to do).
Once all the pics are uploaded to the photobucket site, you can either insert the 'direct links' or the 'image code' links into a post on the board. (the links to each picture is located directly below each pic. each pic has it's own link)
When you type up the post it will look something like this for a 'direct link' picture...
*note: you'll have to click the 'URL' button at the top of your 'post' and insert the copied link between the url brackets
The above will show up like this....

Or you can use the 'image code' method....
which will look like this....

Hope that helps.

The angle of the camera makes all the difference. Makes ya shed at least 80 lbs. and lose about 30 years off your aged looks. Camera angles are the greatest.

Re: Needing M151A2 Body parts
FYI, I did some searching for rear panels. RAPCO out of Bowie Texas has a replacement NOS panel for the M151. It is made to convert the TOW M151 back to a regular M151. This panel does not go all way out to blinkers. It stops just past the bumperetts. It goes from the bottom including holes for bumperetts and pintle hook all way up to top. It has the spare tire holder and support to fender already included on this. It goes from fender well to fender well. Not bad for NOS. It has a little surface rust but a great find. BIG

Re: Needing M151A2 Body parts
I do not know about other panels. It would probably be best to call them (940)872-2403 to check on these other panels. The rear replacement panel was $125 plus shipping (cheapest I found and only NOS I found for whole piece). They also have The top Vinyl seat cushions for $50 (NOS if interested) but no guarantee on matching colors and need TLC cleaning from storage (adds to authenticity for ours in the Marines did not match either). Give them a shout and good luck. BIG
