A2 rear quarters needed

Unread post by Vzike » January 14th, 2016, 3:12 pm

Whoever had this A2 cut off the ROPS using a torch. I have some rusted up rear quarters I can use, but would like to find some in better shape than the ones I have.

Basically, I need the whole rear quarter, including the rear cross frame. Take a look at the picture and let me know if you have something I can use to fix this.

Here are some better pictures of the problem I'm dealing with.

First the drivers side:

This is the piece I have to fix it:

Here is the passenger side:

And the piece I have:

Obviously, I will cut out that passenger side fender support and replace it with one from CMD, on both sides.

Does anyone have anything better available?

I'm also thinking I should just cut and replace the back frame pieces with parts I have, and get new fender tops from Guy (CMD), and fab up the side and back sheet metal (not using the rusty junk backs quarters) to make it work.

Input please?

Well, Guy has the rear panel, the top fender panel, the inner support and he is making the outer side panel right now. That only leaves the lower structure and I think he may even have that.

Most of the panels from Guy are still designed around his "A1"

But so far we have had excellent luck using the panels on A2s, especially the rear fender area.

Sorry all... my photo bucket got pretty loaded, so I started moving some of the pictures off to albums. I didn't realize it would drop the picture. I put them back up.
