First time driving an M151

Unread post by m3a1 » September 30th, 2016, 3:02 pm

My father in law is a Vietnam veteran. Here it is, the year 2016 and he's finally getting to drive a MUTT for the first time.

Yee ha! I drove one once over there, don't remember much of it. Seems it was parked outside of a bar when we left the bar and it kind of "went" with us.  From what I was told I was driving. Us, and the mutt ended up in a rice paddy and somehow we made it back to the base. (Minus the mutt). Next day we were on a chopper ( you know that choppers and hangovers are a bad combination?) and back in the jungle and never heard another thing about it. Actually forgot completely about it until reminded several years afterwards. That was the one and only time I drove one (allegedly) before I got mine.

Judging by some of the crap that has inhabited the underside of my truck for so many years, mine may be the one you abandoned in the rice paddy!
