Photos from the Lytham 1940's Event

Hello all.....

I've started to upload photos from the Lytham 40's weekend which took place at Lytham near Blackpool at the weekend. You can see them at:-

Lindsay.....for your information..... the local newspaper, the Lytham Gazette, estimated that between 30,000 to 40,000 people attended the event. That 1940's theme certainly seems to draw the general public to the shows.

Kind regards....

only in Britain. For whatever reason only the English folks can pull off such big military car events. For whatever reason they have no issues with the past, I still freak out when I see British folks wearing German WWII uniforms, or even worse SS ones. A few years back, when attending the War and Peace show, I could not stand it and left a day earlier...

Ken, I like how you point out the incorrectness of some owners displaying their vehicles. It drives me nuts when people try to pretend a M201 is a WWII vehicle or attach completely wrong accessories to their jeeps and think it looks cool.
