I had a friend who was already in, already over there (RVN) when he received his draft notice in the mail....... My old '67 had one rectangular side view mirror like those pictured. I changed it out for the small round one because I thought it was "more correct" for the period. Shows what I know .Hambone wrote:Are those original mirrors? my 66 only has one round one. Thanks, Hambone

Those mirrors are interesting, I was also of the impression that they came in with the A2 and were retrofitted to the A1. Quite obviously not the case.

Upper right corner of the radiator may have had, or needs, a "field expedient" repair. Looks a little hollow. Also, the windshield mounting bolts look new.(Or maybe just painted a light color.)

uncle sam called me, and when i went to oakland, i found out the marines were also drafting--i ended up army--i can't swim to this day, so i would have just been a training accident in pendleton anyway.
