Uh Oh, I guess Horst won't be talking to us lowly mutt owners anymore! Nice truck, I always wanted one and if I ever get one it will be a winch model. By the way, how much is diesel fuel in Germany?

Re: ..new SUV...
Not meaning to criticise Horst but why are the bumper markings upside down?
Re: ..new SUV...
as you know pictures don't really show the truth. It seems to run good, but it is very very rusty. I always wanted one and this was the only one I looked at. I bought it because I did know that every minute more thinking about it would make me think logically and make me not buying such a monster.
Bumper markings are upside down because it was originally without winch. The previous owner got the winch and part of the installation is to turn the bumper upside down. I don't need a winch, I don't even know if it works, but I like the meaner look...
Diesel is about twice as much as in the States. On steel soldiers there is a lot of discussion of people actually using the multifuel capabilities and drive them with WMO. I don't think at this time that I will enter those adventures with the amount of time I have and the resulting actual miles.

Re: ..new SUV...
I like it.
I read somewhere when a new buyer tried out his winch for the first time and he hadn't read the manual. Tore that sucker up with the first try....oh, well.

Nice rig I had heard that overseas, larger M series trucks (2.5 & 5T) were either hard to come by or expensive to purchase (let alone feed & shod). If anyone 'State side wants one of those beasties now's the time to buy as they're dirt cheap (to buy,not feed ). Occasionally, I get a jonez for a 5 ton but have my hands full with the Ferret, M37 & M151A2. Maybe some day down the road I'll pick up an M35 like you did.

sharp looking truck, I want one bad!!
Re: ..new SUV...
I remember over on Steel Soldiers someone was using their winch and drove over a pick up truck or ran the deuce up a tree, dont exactly remember. Hell it may have been both. The pics were cool though.Ralph Fuller wrote:I like it.
