hey mcm, how's it going?--i hate to tell you this, but the B.C. at the top of the sign refers to British Columbia, canada--you won't be taking your fire arms there without considerable difficulty from the canadian goverment. grizzlies on the other hand, will have all the weapons they require right at the end of their paws. have you ever seen one up close? they can be particularly unpleasant and rather cranky when hungry.remember the most important rule about bears--you don't have to outrun the bear as long as you can outrun at least one of your companions. ( i cleaned that one up a little, this is a family site)

Hey Ron, My wifes cousin has a bear rehabilitation farm in Montana. He has a couple of grizzlies that were orphaned and raised by humans. They are HUGE! they also like to play, be prepared for bruises and scrapes.

I'd stick my size 15 where the sun don't shine if a grizzley tried his luck with me, you have to remember i've from Detroit, we don't play no games!

And on to the gun's in Canada, with proper permits gun's are allowed in Canada. I've shot many times at competitions in Windsor with the windor pistol league and back in the day when I was envolved with cowboy action shooting. Canada is only thirty minutes from me and alot of shooters come here for comps as well. You better believe if I was going to bear country canada I'd be packing my Super Redhawk Alaskan, legal or illegal :D

hi mcm--yeah,i know the rules--i'm canadian and the rules are a pain in the ******---hi rick--the last time i was hiking in the rockies of northern alberta, near jasper, i heard a noise and looked back to see a large grizzly cross my track about 30 yards away. their physical appearance is always a dead give away, especially up close and personal. in banff i had a chance to compare a grizzly and a smaller brown bear side by side in a museum and the difference in characteristics can be pretty amazing.

Smokey's dad. This fellow was over 12'6 when standing and 1600 lbs. Running was probably not a good idea.
