There's some truth there. I bought some surplus tires a while ago and they threw in the wheels to avoid the effort.

I am planning on doing that to one of my A2s, but I don't drive them on highways, nor over 40, and always during daytime, never in rain so I am not in a hurry to change out. Plus the military tires are brand new on the one I am using, so not hardened and cracked like the originals on the other one.
