Hey Ralph,
Great pics and even cooler artwork on the driver seat flack jacket. You know the Zig Zag Man aka Capt ZigZag has a picture of me tattoo'd on his arm. With the twin M60's, they'd need a trailer just to haul ammo with that 1600 rds per minute capability.

Not sure what kind of M60 you used but the standard GI one only put out about 650 rounds per......

I think that tattoo is reversed, I would believe it is you with the tattoo. They will shoot 650 but if you do you will be using those spare barrels pretty quick. How would you like to be the driver with both guns chattering in your ears?

Okay Matt you got me on the rate of fire. For some reason I had 800 stuck in my head and not 650. That's a pretty small detail compared to me seeing 2 M60's mounted on that jeep and you only seeing 1. Oh and Rick, I had the tattoo part correct, it's him with me tattooed on his arm. He's a big fan of mine I guess. Without my assistance, that company would have gone under years ago.

I was looking at it as RPM per the weapon not X 2  .US machine guns always had a rather low cyclic rate (compared to others) of between 450 & 600 RPM (depending on the weapon). It was only with the adoption of the M240 in the late 70s (co-ax on tanks later in the 90s for Infantry)that we finally had an MG with a high rate of fire. like Rick pointed out, that's not always a good thing.

Just remember Hambone, the M60 weighs in at around 23lbs not including ammo. (the M60E4 weighs less-in the mid teens).

Yeah that was my first choice, but the war dept said I couldn't have a tank on the front lawn, so I settled for a jeep w/mg :|
