The M151 hardtop has always reminded me of the hardtop on a Toyota FJ40.

I'm assuming that this photo is late '70s early '80s by the ODs worn by our guys? Notice that the M151 is an A1 and not an A2.

Looks like the one of the Bundesgrenzschutz members is carrying P-38.

And their vehicle looks like a British Land Rover.

Matt I thought it was a Canadian vehicle at first because of the similarity to CDN camo, but it's an M151A1...and they didn't use them. The camo looks to be "Summer - US and Europe" which didn't seem to get used much. Most of the 4-color mutts in BRD used "Winter-US & Europe" pattern.

Kind regards....

Always wanted - Details and pictures of M416 Trailer data plates & M151 data plates & body-tags for my research. Thanks!

Thought that pattern on the A1 looked kind of odd but noticing the bumper markings, I just assumed it was US & not Canadian. The three guys wearing the M65 field jackets & "pickle suits" was also a give away  . Not sure when the Canadians replaced the C1A1 with the M16 .

I also noticed that all the jeeps have the pioneer tools present with the exception of the last black & white photo.

A black hood star is not something you see very often.

The A1 and the 3 guys in "pickle suits" are from the 11th. Armored Cavalry at the east/west German Border, here is a photo showing the unsubdued shoulder patch. :)
