here's one of me when i was in the 199th infantry.this pic used to be my avatar, but it's disappeared. i should fix that, but in the meantime....

now you see, i only got one feeling left and you're hurting it....LOL. actually, when i posted this i thought the jeep pic would be interesting for members who like seeing jeeps in use in the nam. it shows the overall condition, the radio and M60 mount as used then, the hood number, which started with a 3, and if you look closely you can see where the blackout headlight was removed and a red lens MP light was installed in it's place. the siren was mounted on the opposite front fender, not visible in this pic.

I think the hood number is 02BW 8069. See my earlier posting on Army numbering systems.

This photo and the ones on Couple of Jeeps from Viet Nam string pretty much put to rest the question of what type side mirrors were used on earlier 151's. Looks like, Round, Rectangle, and None :!:

hi claude---yes, we used the 524's on all our gun jeeps and V100's. the V's also had the 442's installed, as did our two M113's.
