Bringing out the big guns

Unread post by rwdfresno » April 26th, 2012, 6:47 pm

I spent the weekend out with some friends and family in CA to attend the Tower Park event. One of this years featurs was armourment. For the occasion we brought our our 155MM howitzer 40MM AAA. It was one of the best showings ever at Tower Park as far as equipment goes. We had a good time minus the controversy around firing the 40MM propane rounds.

I sure hope that was chained forward!!! I would have lowered the bed to just a small angle to hold the truck from rolling forward before getting under it.

Rick,

Yeah, the gun was lashed down, regardless, I'm with you, tilt that thing nearly flat before getting myself between two huge pieces of iron. He was a pretty green driver.

Green drivers should not be handling that type a rig. They will become red and dead real quick!
