Why I missed Findlay

Unread post by Rainman » May 20th, 2013, 11:43 am

Well due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to attend the Armed Forces Day event at Findlay, Ohio.
Got to slip out of rehearsal long enough to meet with Rommel and some of other friends at the Spring Willy's Reunion though.
Able to slip on the Stetson for a picture or 2, but the photographer still has them, so here's what I have till then...

FOUR DAUGHTERS!?!?--you must have one heck of a time getting into the bathroom. i worked with a guy who had 3 daughters, and he said between them and his wife, he was considering a porta john for the back yard.

At first when I saw the pictures I thought a new rendition of “Beauty and the Beast” but despite the glare a certain likeness came through. Might that distinguished gentleman be Robert Duvall that I perceive, naw it’s just the Rainman.

Congratulations Sparky on that historical milestone.

Thanks guys. It was a big day as I'm sure some of you have experienced. When it came to children, I'm luckier than I deserve to be. Still waiting for the Stetson pictures to show up. It will be interesting to see if the others in that picture are smiling. :D My daughter is responsible for nearly 30 of her school friends to recognize Memorial Day as patriotic tribute to our Veterans. Every year the group grew, with her peers willing to skip sleeping in and come to the local parade and flag raising ceremony, learning from her that it's not just a 3 day weekend with a picnic. Never just a "good kid", she has always been extra special. Thanks for letting me show her off. When I gave her away, I had my fingers crossed.
