Future Mule project

Unread post by Bryon » July 17th, 2015, 12:06 pm

I'll get started on this after I get the MUTT finished. I have a new engine sitting on a pallet waiting to go in. As far as I know I'm not missing much in the way of parts.

You have the 106 ready to go? Looks like a fun project, best of luck with it.

Always wanted one of those! Not sure what I would do with it but looks fun! Would be great for the beach.

My dad swore by them. I remember him talking about them when I was a kid. He talked about wanting one and found this one. Shame he didn't live long enough to see this one eventually come together.

I'm sure your restoration will be great and he will be proud! My dad was a WW2 vet, lost him in my early 20's thirty some years ago before I could afford hobbies like this. He would have loved the 151 and if he were alive I would have scored a WW2 jeep just for him. But they are always with us!

I still have the M37 that started it for him. Hasn't been started in years but my fiance is wanting to take on getting it going again. At his peak, he had 70 various MVs in various states of disrepair sitting around. He did his best to own every one he could find. It was in the last few years he parted out the worst and sold off some of the better stuff.

I would never be able to visit you, I would be wanting to bring home all kinds of stuff. I have wanted a M-37 or M-715 for a long time. I am getting to a point where I can't do heavy mechanical work though so they have to be mechanically sound.

My son got the M715 as his inheritance. I have another M37 I'll be selling that was complete. Someone took a couple parts off of the engine. It was tagged and running. Probably not going to want to look at future pics Rick, I'm not that far away, lol.
