And yes i do take care of it everytime i go offroad.i love this creations of mankind i modified it for long travels did a 4000km trip and it came back home without a single issue.going to chnage the original diff with ssr toyota surf front diff locking differential on front and back as the only issue i face after every trip is the diff noise changed almost half dozen and now the stockist says u wont be able to get again as the stock is no more left so its better to upgrade it for future feels like she will stay with me till my death :lol:

I take my Hat off to you for going on a road trip that far in an old 151. It aint the most comfortable vehicle to drive even when its brand new, Fun, yes... but wow that's a long drive in a 151. Great job and glad to hear it worked out well.

The first pic is of Naran valley and we reached there after 16 hours of continous drive just stopped for break and tea driect from my home town lahore
And this pic is of river bara pani in deosai plains and it took us two days from naran valley to reach deosai plains because the roads were loose due to land sliding and somehwere there was snow on roads but very less as it was summer.we had 11 trucks on the trip including toyota prado toyota 70 series wrangler 2002 model suzuki samurais toyota vigo and all of the vehicles had issues someone broke his swaybar some broke the leaf spring some had brake failure some had transmission fluid heat up it was the mutt who was roaring like a lion on tht hilly roads ;

That is Shighar desert its about 14000feet above sea level and this desert is one of its kind at tht height and i was driving mutt in 4th gear in this desert.
The thing wch i enjoyed the most during the journey was the suspension and original seats of mutt.i was floating on all those bumpy roads filled with rocks where others where driving in 1st or 2nd gear i was driving in 3rd or fourth 60km/hr speed and it was like i was in a boat floating with the curves of the waves

Ok, You are now giving the guys that did the Alps tour a run for their money! That is a serious trip! I asked in your other thread about whether you know Sherwan? He is into the same stuff and the town of Lahore rings a bell. I have heard him mention it.

At 15,000 ft. the air is getting kind of thin, as in hard to breath after any exertion. I am surprised to hear the mutt was running well at that altitude.

On edit, I just read your other thread about the modifications and the diesel engine, that explains why it is running at altitude but I am guessing it had a lot less power.

Yes there are people from lahore rather groups who do traveling may but i dnt know him may be will meet him someday.
Your are right at tht altitude it was tough to walk 100 meters for us and the effect of thin air on vehicles was excessive smoke.
Now again this year i m ready to roll my mutt didnt decided the route yet but more or less it will be above 2000km.will share the pics of my mutt again after installing diffs and paint job going ti do powder coating in desert green

We had heard that you were not allowed to paint them in anything that even resembled a military vehicle over there?
