Mid-Ohio MV Rally and Swap Meet?

Unread post by Rainman » June 27th, 2008, 8:55 pm

Well, I've made my motel reservations for the Mid-Ohio event, and other than 2 M151 guys I know locally, I'm not sure who else is showing up. I've made a point to invite and inform as many MV folks as I can, but can we get a head count from the G838? We can plan a cookout or at least a pre-arranged gathering with BYOB's, as I'd like to meet as many folks as possible that I may have previously annoyed here on the G838. :P I have no real desire to be the entertainment planner, but someone should have a decisive plan, I think, maybe, kinda sorta. Any ideas or volunteers?

Well I did the math and it looks like I can't do it. Damn fuel and gas prices are killing me!

Hey rickf,

Maybe HTN will pick up enough cans along the way to pay for everyone's fuel bill. The price of scrap is keeping up with the cost of fuel these days, but so is milk. :(

I'll be there all day Saturday selling stuff and have my trusty M151 at hand as well. I would suggest for Saturday evening, 10 miles down 61 in Sunbury is a really good Pizza place called PJ's (yes they serve beer). 61 is a nice drive and not too far from the show site.
I know at least 3 mutts from central ohio will be there at the show.

Hey Bob,

Pizza sounds good to me, count me in. I know 2 151's from NE Ohio that will be there for sure, even if the poll is only showing 3 total in attendance so far. See you there!

I'll be there about 3 on Friday to set up and start selling. I have a 5 gallon can of military OD 24037??, whatever the 151's were originally. It would need shaken and split to use. It is military issue.
I'm asking $40.00 for it.

I'll see everyone there.

Hey HTN,

I've got a gallon of Gillespie 24087 here that could be available. What are you lookin to paint? Had 2 gal but sent one to the paint shop for the 67 stevens M416 project. I have yet to get the trailer back, so I may show up "trailerless" that's a word aint it? If it comes back tomorrow I still need to run the wire harness, undercoat, and reassemble, a large bill of goods for a few short hours before I head south for the show. I may have a 1 1/2 gallon still available, if it comes back in time. I'll give a call to the MMFIC of the rally and see if Rappco or Gillespie may be there. I'll get back to you on it...
