Graves Mountain Trailrides and Rally -September, in Virginia

Postby cgarbee » June 15th, 2015, 2:28 pm

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are having the Graves Mountain MV Trailrides and Rally again this year. As always, it will be over the Labor Day weekend… September 3-7, 2015.
Older civilian vehicles are welcome as well as anything Military.
The website is http://www.gravesmountaintrailrides.com/

The past several years, we’ve had a number of M151’s show up but we are always looking for more to cruise the local roads and orchard paths and to climb the mountain trails.

Hope that a bunch of you can make it... :)

Had a great time last year and Clell was nice enough to drive my friend and I around the trails with Blake ahead of us. At this time I'm planning on going again but will require a truck and driver again as there is NO WAY my A1 will be done. I ride with you Rick! Bring your A1!

I am not sure what I am bringing yet. Could be the CJ, the 151 or the CUCV.

Just thought that I would post an update:
Steve and his crew from RockRidge Offroad (a local Jeep club that I am a member of) spent the weekend of July 4th working on the trails and will be back again this weekend...
The trails are looking good (and have been extended so that we have even more places to ride).
Chuck has figured out what the shirts will look like...
Prizes for Saturday's truck games are starting to arrive...

Join us!

PS: If somebody could give me the quick, "how to post photos for dummies" I'll post some from the most recent work weekend.
Otherwise, you can see some on the event website or by going to my Facebook page...

Post your photos to Photobucket, click on the IMG link on the photo in photobucket and it will say "copied" and then just paste in the thread here, done.
So Chuck is actually working in his retirement?

Chuck actually retires on July 31 (the effective day is August 1), so we will see how hard he is working when he gets to the rally... ;)
Meanwhile, I went and created a Photobucket account...

One of the recently widened trails (trying to get a few up on the mountain that the five ton owners can use...):
