Picked up a 64 Kaiser

Unread post by Cobra5 » April 12th, 2014, 10:32 pm

Pictures tell the story, this old girl is in really bad shape. It was a reweld and all the sheetmetal in the floors is mostly gone and scabbed over with patches. This girl is a true mutt in that she is a mix of all the different models. The extra transmission is a boat anchor along with the one that is installed and the engine. Everything is locked up tight. On a good note the suspension parts are in good shape. In the photo of the back of the jeep you can see a part that fell off on to the trailer. I wonder how many more parts fell off along the way home. I think it would be far too costly to try to make her right again so I'll be taking her apart and using what I can on my other A-1s. Also was told those red rims are suppose to be from a 40 ish pickup truck but they look more like CJ rims to me.

That is an original three rib hood. I have seen a lot worse but then again you did not show any pic's from underneath. The body tag is great! does it have the original data plate?

Is that a 64 or 65 T-bird?

The original data plate is there and the T bird is a 65 which is parked in front of another 65 T bird you can't see in the photo.

can you please make me a sketch of where the shovel handle goes on the passenger side. These brackets are missing on my early Ford M151
