You're supposed to answer that question by saying you bought it from a magazine ad for $50, and it was new and shipped in a wooden crate

Actually there are/have been NOS bodies sold. There are a couple of owners on here. I will not name them, they can speak up if they care to. Unfortunately I am not one of them.

Been gone the last week.
So obviously at least a couple of you guys get my sense of humor. Your panties will arrive before the 14th... 8)
My point is that it seems that if a few people complain, threads get locked. Why? No need to. We are adults, we can disagree, talk, explain, and consider other points of view.
If you consider it tedious, or not the aspect of the M151 that YOU wish to see, move on and don't follow the thread. But don't pile on and groupthink. That is boring, and has a tendency to stifle comments from those that typically dont speak up.

A lot of us have been around for a long time and this stuff just keeps repeating, over and over. When things turn nasty I will shut it down. That is not discussion, it is inflammatory and there is no place for it here. You want to flame people go to SS or 503. You will find they do not put up with it either. Actually SS will ban you the first time! We like it this way and that is how it is going to stay.

Havent bothered reading this thread for a while. Are you accusing me of flaming people Rick? I think if you go back and follow the thread(s), you will see I was the reasonable one, and others were complaining about this site not being about the US Army, (Funny that, since there wouldnt be an M151 without the Army, and guys are always curious about how they were used, repaired, supplied, etc), or that I was being "tedious", or whatever.

If those of you who have "been around a long time" dont want any new blood, just cancel any new members. Easy that way. But if you old guys want to continue to learn from folks who are your age or older, then deal with it. Let people talk. Groupthink kills innovation, idea sharing, etc., but it is alive and well here.

There are 1-3 people who dominate this site. I was trying to give it some life, as some others have done in the past. Buty hey, most of you "old guys" post more often on SS or G503, so this isn't an issue...

Initially I want to not reply to this but there longer I thought, the harder it got to not reply. Specifically as you are addressing one of my replies. There is absolutely no need to "give it some life", the site is more active and has more new members than ever. Not sure what your contribution so far really is. This site has been extremely friendly from the very beginning, the one or two troublemakers which showed up over the last few years got a clear message and eventually moved on. I had the luck to meet quite a few members in person, in the US, in the UK, France, Germany and Italy. All of them where in real life pretty much as they behaved online, nice and knowledgable folks. In contrast I would have zero desire to meet you in person.

And your post Horst, proves my point.
It isn't me being a "troublemaker".
Here in America, we do not bow to rules as many of you over there might be inclined to. I will never stop helping, or trying to make a valid point. The whole debate over the actual nomenclature of this vehicle series matters to those of us who actually served to protect your nation from communist aggression, as this vehicle was a sort of American legend. The antagonism that has resulted is simply beneath me, and is quite "third grade".
I am very knowledgeable, and very friendly. Would love to meet you, or anyone on the forum.
Have a super day Horst!

Thought I would add this: Never have seen a "forum" where you have a "friend or foe" tool. I thought it was childish when I saw it, and still do. Why do we have it here? To separate us into such groups?
Well, it is working.

I am getting tired of this!!!! Retiredpara, You are a great guy, your feedback post is a great addition. BUT, You always seem to want to stir the pot. You always want the last word. I have not been saying anything here because you were accusing me of being the problem but since I have been quiet you have picked on others. This has to stop. If you have a problem with another member take it to PM's or pm me about it. The undertones about comparing countries is not going to wash.
