They had one picture of the Arizona memorial and one paragraph on the next to the last page of the front section of the paper today. WWII is becoming a forgotten war. Korea was always a forgotten war and Vietnam is a glorified war that is on the list to be forgotten.

Rick ???? Vietnam was a glorified war ??? Somehow I missed that ....Of course....I always kept my head down, and didn't know what was going on around me anyway ! We did have good TV , Radio and Newspaper coverage....must be since we are in the Mid West.....Raymond would attest to that....Seabee

Wasn't much in the St. Louis Post Disgrace, er I mean Post Dispatch. But what do you expect from the St. Louis version of Pravda. But in their defense, and you don't know how much I'm choking defending the Post Dispatch, we are fast approaching the point where there will no longer be any living memory of WW2 from the people who actually fought it. The people who experienced it personally are, for the most part, either dead, or in very poor health. My father was in the 745th Tank Batallion. I'm sure there are few, if any of his old friends alive. It has become something to read about in history books, not hear about firsthand.
