And you need a 5 or 6 leg base so you do not self eject.

Actually, I have an old parachute I can sit on! 
As for the base, it provides adequate support because the business that allows the original seat to tilt is no longer there so the ejection seat is always upright.
However, I may move the seat forward an inch or two. Right now it's just a quick fab-up using original mounting points.

Doesn't look like it's ever been used, I don't see a stain in the bottom of it.
